The Victorian Malleefowl Recovery Group (VMRG) is a group of interested volunteers working under the supervision of Dr Joe Benshemesh. Volunteers undergo training in data collection and bush safety and then spend time in the field collecting data from nest sites within a defined grid in the Victorian Mallee Country.

There is a small annual subscription, currently set at $35 for Individual Membership, $50 for Household Membership (which can include children 16 and under at no extra cost), $20 for Students with current ID, and $50 for Organisation Membership.
